When I'm not immersed in the world of Photoshop or Illustrator, you can find me cherishing moments with my wonderful family – they mean the world to me. My husband and I have shared an incredible journey of 28 years together, embracing every moment. With two energetic kiddos aged 11 and 8, our idea of bliss is the simple joys of a lot of soccer practices and tournaments, bike rides, or indulging in some delicious ice cream.
Now, here's where it gets interesting – I hail from a rich cultural background. Born in El Reno, Oklahoma, raised amidst the beauty of Cali, Colombia, I'm fluent in Spanish and proudly carry Japanese heritage. My great-grandparents embarked on an extraordinary journey from Fukuoka, Japan, to Colombia in the early 1930s, weaving a captivating tale of cultural fusion. Growing up, my taste buds were treated to a delightful blend of flavors – from arepas with soy sauce to Cali's exotic tropical fruits and obachan's homemade Japanese delicacies. Now based in LA, I find myself longing for those nostalgic flavors, 3,439 miles away from Cali.
Art and design have been my passion since childhood, and I've always been drawn to creative projects. Graduating with honors from Universidad Autonoma de Occidente in Cali, Colombia, I consistently ranked among the top 5 students and earned numerous excellence awards. My journey led me to spend a fulfilling 10 years and 10 months at Accell Group (North America), where I served as Creative Art/Marketing Director, collaborating with a brilliant team that enriched my skills and knowledge. Now currently working for American Hakko Products, Inc. rebranding strategy to elevate the company's image, ensuring a cohesive and professional presence across all marketing channels.
